Room Descriptions
Housed in its own attached building, the Dudley T.
Dougherty Foundation Center has office machines, a restroom, and
a menu of extra business amenities. Spanish
cedar doors open into the purpose-built Foundation Room, which holds a
conference table for twelve, and looks out through a wall of French doors into a
private patio garden with miniature trees and lovely, graceful grasses. A larger
group can be accommodated with set-up in the garden.
In the main ranch house, the Mahogany Board Room features impressive
mahogany paneling, with
a large conference table custom-built of the same wood.
Wireless access points, art from the owner's personal collection and a view of the sheltering oaks complete the room.
Larger groups can be accommodated in the open-plan Great Hall seating area surrounding the half-walled Mahogany Board Room, or a smaller group of eight to ten can be seated at the conference table.
The traditional wood-paneled Library is a cozy, book-filled space overlooking an original Indian campground underneath an endless canopy of 700 year old massive live oak trees. When its heavy, wood-paneled doors are shut, it becomes an enclosed world of its own. Enjoy the smoking patio or browse the shelves. Also available for use is the flat-screen TV. This 23' by 21' room seats six people.
Windows on three sides of the atmospheric Bougainvillea Bar look out into the patio garden just outside, spreading at the feet of the heritage oaks and meeting the rolling range beyond. Luxury built-in bar with running water, ice maker, refrigerator, and large wine rack. The room has phone service and is 27' x 20' with a 12' high ceiling. Excellent for any conference purpose, but especially welcome and cocktail functions.
For smaller groups of up to eight people, the intimate San Domingo Suite looks out into the ranch courtyard, with an ancient gnarled oak skirted by flowers. Separate restroom.
The two story Pool House offers lots of outdoor access. Multiple rooms provide flexibility for a larger group. A Spanish tiled octagonal room with screened-in viewing porch is upstairs. It has a full-service kitchen and a fireplace as well. The garden room and deck are downstairs.
Looking out on the garden, the 17'x22' Garden Room features a lovely seating for fifteen, hardwood floors, and full-length mirrored interior walls. Outside, the deck is surrounded by colorful flowers visited by butterflies, and a hammock strung under spreading live oaks.
Outside the pool house, the large patio around the tile-edged swimming pool can accommodate up to twenty people. Patio chairs and pots of tropical hibiscus surround the pool, and the area is shaded by large live oaks.
